Best/Preferred Brand of Duct Tape?
What is everyone's preferred brand of duct tape? For a gag, I prefer Duck brand waterproof duct tape. It resists sweat well and it's thin (I don't like thick duct tape for gags). For the rest of my body, I like something thicker as the thin stuff breaks while struggling. What I'm using works well but I am wondering if there is something even better out there. I don't mind duct tape on my face and in my hair but usually wear long sleeved shirts and pants to keep it off the rest of my skin.
Duct tape can't fix every problem, but it can muffle the sound.

I will have to try that out. The extra width would make for a really effective gag!

Indeed. I always have several 3" rolls handy (both for work/quick repair jobs and for when I'm hosting a cute prisoner). I have a 4" wide roll for heavier duty repair jobs stashed in my workshop, but I would advise against purchasing it for gagging purposes. As tempting as it may be, 4" wide tape is quite unwieldy. Even more so if you aren't used to handling jumbo industrial-grade sized rolls.DuctTapeSilence wrote: ↑2 years ago I will have to try that out. The extra width would make for a really effective gag!
3" Nashua tape works really well for all of the above-mentioned purposes.
It's the width and brand we use a lot in construction. Tough as nails and pretty darn sticky.
Gorilla tape is supposed to be very strong and unbreakable so I've heard.

AFAIK it only comes in 2" width, but 3M 764 tape is perhaps even a bit stickier. It does leave a bit more residue than the Nashua.
