Left Behind - The Island ?/F

Post by Bigballgag1 »

This was paradise on a level Rachel had not even dreamed of experiencing.

The 35 year old brunette lay on her back on her trusty pink towel dotted with jellyfish. Her 5”5 slightly curvaceous frame trying to soak in as much of the warm sun as possible. Her peach bikini and the beige bottomed, turquoise topped flip flops next to her towel the only items of clothing she brought with her from the ship. A pair of black sunglasses over her eyes, shielding them from the sun’s rays. Her long straight light brown hair acting as a cushion for her head on the soft sands below the towel.

She was lost in the moment, feeling the waves of relaxation soothe her as she could hear the constant slow crashing of waves drifting to the shore. As she felt the warm air surround her, it was hard not to fall asleep. This was everything the brochure had mentioned and more. Perhaps this was Rachel’s favourite place on earth? It was delightful.

She had booked this cruise with her two roommates, Crystal and Penelope who had gone off to do something like surfing? Rachel didn’t know for sure.

This island was so nice, Rachel was surprised this was not ordinarily part of the island hoping itinerary. This was actually a substitution island due to bad weather affecting things further on. It was uninhabited but offered such a serene and peaceful experience.

Rachel glanced at her watch, a necessity due to the no phone decision for this trip decided as a group, satisfied she still had plenty of time left before she needed to be back on the ship.

As 10 minutes passed by, followed by another 10, she was startled by the sound of the ship’s loud heavy horn sounding twice. Rachel glanced up presuming the ship was just doing some routine maintenance but was shocked and panicked by what she saw. The ship. It was leaving.

“Shit.” She said aloud to herself as her heart raced. She checked her watch again.

“You stupid piece of shit!” She shouted in frustration as she tapped the face of the watch repeatedly. It had stopped on the same time she last saw. She had no idea what time it currently was.

“ shit shit shit. No. No.No.” She muttered repeatedly, trying to clamber everything into her large black beach bag.

“WAIT! WAIT!!” She shouted after the ship which was gathering pace now in the distance. Instinctively she began to chase after it, running with effort over the soft slippery sands underneath. She didn’t even have her flip flops on but perhaps that was wise. Perhaps if she could get somewhere visible they would see her and turn back?

As she reached the furthest part out from the island and stepped out into the sea she jumped and shouted, waving her arms around. However nobody on the ship had noticed her. The ship was not turning back. All she could do was watch on as the ship sailed further and further away. She had been left behind.

She turned around slowly to assess her situation. Suddenly this island did not seem so perfect. It was eerily quiet. It all seemed so hopeless.

She slowly stepped out of the sea and back onto the sandy shore. She was unsure just what to do now. Her supplies were limited. She was not prepared for this.

Then she saw it. A beacon of hope in the distance in the form of a thick column of grey smoke. A campfire perhaps? She had no other option but to investigate. The only issue was that it was behind a curtain of jungle foliage she could not tell how far it stretched.

With hope she began to make her way towards the foliage, trying to find a walkable path to perhaps some help. If they could not help her off this island they might be able to share some supplies at the very least.

It took her a while but eventually Rachel managed to find a gap in the dense foliage which appeared to resemble a path
She tried to keep an eye on the smoke trail from the campfire as a reference point but it was difficult at times.

The path itself was narrow and contained obstacles to guide herself over and around which was anything from a decaying fallen branch to strange plants she did not want to touch without research.

After another 10 minutes of working her way gradually along the path she spotted something in the distance. A clearing. Signs of life.

She was about to make her way forward to make her presence known but stopped herself upon what she saw next. A person.

However this was not just any person, this person was stood still as if guarding something from the outside. Closer inspection allowed Rachel to work out he was a man. However his appearance was different.

He was dressed in a pair of black trousers, boots and a turquoise long sleeved shirt. Around his weight was a shiny brown belt with several things attached to it. The man himself was quite young, mid to late twenties at a guess with short brown hair and an average frame.

Rachel watched on curious. What was this place? What was he guarding?

It did not take long for her to have an answer. It took her by surprise so much that her mouth remained wide open as she digested exactly what she had just witnessed.

The scene in front of her had appeared to show continuous jungle and sands associated with a previously thought of uninhabited island. However the man typed something in behind a tree he stood next to which revealed a gateway that appeared out of nowhere. Inside was what appeared to be some kind of civilisation. She could not make out much. Whatever it was had been cloaked from view with technology she could not even comprehend.

As if that was hard enough to comprehend, what came next was equally baffling.

A woman appeared out of the gateway dressed in some kind of black skin tight garment with black thigh high boots and elbow length gloves. She looked to be a similar age to Rachel, with striking golden long locks of hair and a tanned complexion. She was in peak physical condition.

What was equally strange about her appearance was that her wrists were secured in front of her with a neatly tied length of white rope. Her mouth too had a red ball gag between her lips. However she showed no sign of being kept against her will. In fact the opposite seemed to be the case. She had a sense of power and authority,

Rachel was transfixed on this discovery unsure just what to do next.

Unfortunately for Rachel, the decision was taken out of her hands. As the famous saying would suggest ‘curiosity killed the cat’.

It all happened so fast. A crack of a branch being stepped on behind her followed by something being pressed to the back of her head. A gloved hand slid its way over her mouth pulling tight.

Rachel instinctively raised her hands. She had been discovered.
