Amy's First Case (MF/F)

Post by drgoremd »

Amy Price had always been fascinated with detective stories, and she had a natural curiosity that seemed to make her a magnet for mysteries. She was a 13-year-old girl of average height for her age, with a slender build and dark hair that fell in loose waves around her face with delicate features and bright, inquisitive eyes that seemed to take in everything around her.

She was curious, intelligent, and determined with a sharp mind, very detail-oriented and analytical, often picking up on things that others might miss, and a keen sense of observation which made her well-suited to her dream of becoming a detective. So when she overheard her parents discussing a recent string of jewel thefts in their small town, she couldn't resist the urge to investigate.

The police had been stumped for weeks, unable to find any leads on the thief or thieves responsible for the crimes. But Amy had a hunch that there was more to the story than meets the eye. She decided to take matters into her own hands and began to investigate. Since it was summer and school was out she had plenty of time on her hands.

She started by visiting the scene of each crime and looking for any clues that the police might have missed. After weeks of sleuthing, she finally discovered something that the police had overlooked: a single fingerprint left behind on a window sill.

Amy managed to obtain a copy of the fingerprint and began to investigate who it might belong to. She spent hours scouring the internet, looking for matches and finally found a potential suspect: a man named Jack, who had a history of theft and had recently been released from prison.

With this lead, Amy began to follow Jack who lived downtown, keeping a close eye on his movements and any interactions he had with others. Eventually, she discovered that he was working with a woman named Sarah, who was helping him to fence the stolen jewels. It turned out that Jack had been planning the thefts for months, and Sarah had been helping him to carry them out.

She knew she had to turn over the information she had to the police, but she was afraid they wouldn't take her seriously. She was just a kid, after all, and who would believe that she had stumbled upon a real-life jewel heist? She knew she had to get hard evidence. She had to keep following them and find something incriminating.

One evening, as she was trailing Jack, she saw him meeting with Sarah. Amy watched as they sat in Jack’s car and he handed her a package. The two criminals were discussing their latest heist when they noticed the young girl in a yellow sundress watching them from across the street. Sarah nudged Jack and pointed her out.

"Who's that?" she asked, nodding in Amy's direction.

"I don't know," Jack replied, eyeing Amy suspiciously. "But I’ve seen her several times. I think she might be following me."

Sarah leaned in closer. "Do you think she knows about us?"

Jack considered this for a moment before nodding. "It's possible. We need to take care of this before she causes any trouble."

Sarah nodded in agreement. "But how do we grab her without anyone noticing?"

They sat in silence for a few moments, thinking over their options. Finally, Sarah spoke up. "What about luring her into the alleyway? We could grab her there."

Jack nodded thoughtfully. "That could work. We have some rope in the trunk and there are some rags we can use to gag her." Sarah nodded in silent agreement.

They watched as Amy continued to spy on them from across the street noticing how she little by little moved closer in their direction. They quickly got out of their car, opened the trunk, removed some items and made their way to the alleyway, as Amy stealthily followed them.

Amy watched as Jack and Sarah got out of their car and walked down the hidden alley. She didn't know what they were up to, but she had a feeling it wasn't good.
As they disappeared into the alleyway, Amy decided she needed to follow them. She tried to be inconspicuous, walking slowly and keeping a safe distance, but as she rounded the corner and stepped into the alley, she saw Jack waiting for her.

"Hey, what are you doing here, little girl?" Jack demanded, stepping forward.
Amy froze, unsure of what to do. She tried to back away, but Sarah emerged from the shadows and grabbed her from behind, covering her mouth to muffle her screams.

"Quick, bring the rope," Sarah said, dragging Amy deeper into the alley.
Jack produced a coil of rope and a red oil stained cloth. He quickly tied Amy's hands together, making sure they were secure. Then he stuffed the rag into her mouth to keep her quiet.

"Good work," Sarah said, giving Jack a nod of approval. “Now bring the car.”

Jack disappeared for a few moments. Amy struggled but with her hands and feet there was little she could do. Moments later the car turned down the alleyway and Amy was forced into the backseat and onto the floor. Sarah climbed into the front seat as well and the car took off. As Jack and Sarah drove Amy to their hideout, they whispered to each other in the front seat, discussing what to do with her.

"I can't believe we got caught by a 13-year-old girl," Sarah said, shaking her head in disbelief. "We must be slipping."

Jack laughed, a bitter sound. "Yeah, well, we'll have to be more careful in the future. We can't afford to have anyone snooping around."

Amy glared at them from the back seat, her face red with anger. She tried to speak, but the gag made it impossible to say anything.

"Ah, our little detective is getting angry," Sarah said, turning to smirk at Amy. "Did we ruin your big investigation?"

Jack chuckled. "Yeah, what were you planning to do, solve the case all by yourself? You're just a kid."

Amy tried to speak again, but the words were muffled by the gag.

"Relax," Jack said, turning to look at her. "We're not going to hurt you. But we can't just let you go either. You know too much."

Sarah nodded in agreement. "We'll figure out what to do with you once we get back to the hideout. In the meantime, just sit tight and try not to cause any trouble."

Amy glared at them both, feeling helpless and frustrated. She had wanted to be a detective for as long as she could remember, and now that she had stumbled onto a real case, she was being punished for it.

As they drove, Amy tried to free herself from the ropes, but they were too tight. She felt a sense of despair wash over her. She didn't know what was going to happen to her, but she knew it couldn't be good.

Once they arrived at their hideout, Jack and Sarah led Amy inside, still tied up and unsure of what was going to happen to her. Jack sat down on a nearby couch while Sarah paced back and forth, deep in thought.

"We can't just let her go," Sarah said finally, stopping to look at Jack. "She knows too much about what we're doing. We have to do something with her."

Jack nodded, his brow furrowed in concern. "But we can't keep her here forever. Someone will start to notice if she's missing for too long."

Sarah sighed, her eyes flicking to Amy's direction. "We could always just take her out into the woods and leave her there. She'll eventually find her way back home."

Amy's eyes widened in fear at the suggestion, and she struggled against her ropes, desperate to be freed.

Jack looked uncomfortable with the idea. "I don't know, Sarah. That seems a little too risky. What if someone saw us?"

Sarah rolled her eyes, clearly frustrated with Jack's hesitation. "Then we'll just have to think of something else. But we can't just let her go."

Amy listened to their conversation, feeling helpless and scared. She knew that if she didn't find a way out of this soon, she might never see her family again.

Suddenly, Sarah turned to face her. "Hey, kid. You're not going to try to escape or anything, are you? Because if you do, we'll have to get rough with you."

Amy shook her head, her eyes wide with fear. She didn't want to make things any worse than they already were.

Jack stood up from the couch, deep in thought. "I think I might have an idea," he said slowly. "But it's risky."

Sarah looked at him expectantly. "What is it?"

Jack leaned in close to Sarah and whispered something in her ear. Amy strained to hear what he was saying, but she couldn't make out the words.

Amy watched in confusion as they huddled together, clearly planning something. She didn't know what they were going to do, but she knew it couldn't be good.

Jack and Sarah approached Amy, who was still tied up and gagged, with a sense of purpose. They removed the rag from her mouth, and Amy gasped for air, relieved to be able to breathe again.

"Now, let's start from the beginning," Sarah said, her tone surprisingly calm. "What do you know about us?"

Amy looked at her nervously, her mind racing. She knew she had to be careful about what she said. "I don't know anything," she said quickly.
Sarah rolled her eyes. "Don't play dumb with us, kid. We know you followed us to the alley. What did you see?"

Amy took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "I saw you take the jewels," she said finally. "I saw everything."

Jack looked at Sarah, a small smile on his face. "Looks like the kid's got some guts after all."

Sarah glared at him before turning back to Amy. "And what do you plan to do with that information? Go to the police?"

Amy glared at him. "You belong in jail. Let me go."

Sarah sighed, shaking her head in frustration. "I'm sorry, kid, but we can't just let you go. You know too much."

Amy's heart sank. She knew what was coming next. "Alright, I won't tell anyone. I promise."

Jack stepped forward, a menacing look on his face. "I'm sorry, but we can't take any chances."

Before Amy could react, Sarah shoved the rag back into her mouth, muffling her protests. They tied her up again and left her in the corner, alone with her thoughts and fears.

Amy's heart was pounding in her chest as she struggled to free herself from the ropes. She had to find a way out of there before it was too late. She tried to stay calm and think clearly, but it was hard with the adrenaline pumping through her veins.

As she was struggling, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching. She stopped moving, hoping that they wouldn't notice her. But the footsteps came closer and closer until she could see the silhouette of Sarah in the dimly lit room.

"Well, well, well. Look who's awake," Sarah said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Amy glared at her, anger and fear battling inside her. She couldn't let them win.

"What do you want from me?" she managed to say through the gag.

Sarah chuckled. "What do we want? We want you to tell us everything you know about us. And we want to make sure you never tell anyone else."

Amy's heart sank at those words. She knew what they meant, and it wasn't good.

"I don't know anything else," she said, hoping to convince them to let her go.

But Sarah just shook her head. "We can't take that risk, kid. You know too much."

She reached into her pocket and pulled out a knife, twirling it in her fingers.
Amy's eyes widened in fear as she realized what was about to happen. She tried to scream, but the gag muffled her voice.

But before Sarah could do anything, Jack burst into the room.
"What are you doing? We can't just kill her," he said, his voice harsh.

Sarah scowled at him. "What do you suggest we do then? Just let her go?"

Jack looked at Amy, then back at Sarah. "No, but we can't just kill her either. That's not who we are."

Sarah sighed, putting the knife away. "Fine. But what do we do with her then?"

They both looked at Amy, who was watching them with a mixture of fear and defiance.

"We'll have to keep her here for a while until we figure out what to do next," Jack said finally.

Amy's heart sank at those words. She knew she was in for a long and dangerous ordeal. But she refused to give up hope. She had to find a way out of there, no matter what.

For several days, Amy was trapped in the dark and dingy room, her hands and feet bound with ropes, a rag tied tightly around her mouth. Her captors, Jack and Sarah, would occasionally untie her to allow her to eat and use the bathroom, but other than that, she was constantly tied up.

The days passed in a blur of boredom, fear, and pain. Amy's muscles ached from being tied up for so long, and her throat was raw from screaming into the gag. Sarah would often come into the room to make sarcastic comments about Amy's sleuthing skills and how she had gotten herself into this mess.

"You know, you should've stuck to playing detective in your little books," Sarah sneered as she handed Amy a bowl of soup. "Real life isn't quite as easy, is it?"
Amy glared at her, her eyes filled with anger and defiance. She refused to let them break her spirit.

One day, as Sarah was taunting her, Amy noticed that the knot on the rope around her wrist was loose. She tried not to show any signs of excitement or movement, but instead, she focused on slowly and quietly working the knot loose.
It took several hours of careful work, but finally, the knot gave way and Amy's hands were free. She quickly untied her feet and took out the gag, her heart pounding with excitement and fear.

She stood up slowly, feeling her stiff muscles protesting against the sudden movement. She looked around the room, trying to find a way out. The windows were barred, and the door was locked from the outside.
But then she noticed a small air vent in the corner of the room. She smiled to herself, realizing that this might be her only chance.

She crawled over to the vent and looked inside. It was dark and dusty, but she could see a faint light at the other end. She took a deep breath and started crawling through the vent, trying to ignore the claustrophobia and the fear that threatened to overwhelm her.

It was a long and difficult crawl, but finally, she reached the end of the vent and emerged into a small room. She looked around, trying to figure out where she was. It looked like some sort of storage room, with boxes and crates piled up against the walls.

She heard footsteps approaching and quickly ducked behind a stack of boxes. She peeked over the top and saw Jack and Sarah coming into the room, arguing with each other.

Amy held her breath, hoping that they wouldn't find her. But then Sarah noticed that the air vent was open and pointed it out to Jack.

"Damn it, she's escaped," Jack said, his voice angry.

Amy knew that she had to act fast. She stood up and ran towards the door, hoping to find a way out.

But Jack and Sarah were too fast. They caught up with her and grabbed her, throwing her back into the storage room.

"You think you can escape from us, huh?" Sarah sneered, grabbing a length of rope.
Amy tried to fight them off, but it was no use. They quickly tied her up again, tighter than before, and gagged her with a cloth.

But even as she lay there, helpless and in pain, Amy knew that she had to keep trying. She couldn't give up hope, no matter what. She had to find a way out of there, and she would keep trying until she succeeded.

As the days passed, Amy kept trying to free herself. She worked at the knots on her ropes, trying to loosen them. She tried to find weaknesses in the walls or the windows, hoping to escape. But Jack and Sarah were always one step ahead of her.
They kept her tied up and gagged, taunting her and reminding her of her helplessness.

Sarah would come into the room every day, making snarky comments about Amy's attempts to escape and her dreams of becoming a detective.

"You're not so clever now, are you?" Sarah would sneer. "You thought you were a big shot detective, but look at you now. You're just a helpless little girl."

Amy tried not to let Sarah's words get to her, but sometimes they did. She felt like she had let everyone down - her parents, her friends, and herself. She had thought that she could solve this mystery and catch the thieves, but instead, she had ended up as their captive.

But she refused to give up hope. She knew that she had to keep fighting, no matter what.

And finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she saw her chance. One day, as Sarah was untying her to allow her to use the bathroom, Amy noticed that the rope around her ankles was frayed. She began to focus on working the rope loose.
It took several hours of careful work, but finally, the rope gave way and Amy's feet were free. She smiled to herself, feeling a surge of hope and determination.

She waited for the right moment, and then she sprang into action. She tackled Sarah, knocking her to the ground, and grabbed the key to the door from her pocket. She unlocked the door and ran out into the hallway.

But Jack was waiting for her. He tackled her from behind and they both fell to the ground. Amy struggled to get up, but Jack was too strong. He pinned her to the ground and held a knife to her throat.

"Give up, kid," he said, his voice cold and menacing. "You're not going anywhere."
But Amy refused to give up. She kicked and struggled, trying to break free. And then, suddenly, there was a loud banging on the door.

"Police! Open up!" a voice shouted.
Amy felt a surge of hope. She knew that help had arrived.
Jack hesitated for a moment, and then he let go of Amy and ran out of the room.

Sarah followed him, leaving Amy alone.

A few moments later, the police burst into the room, freeing Amy from her ropes and taking her to safety.

As she sat in the police car, feeling the cool air on her face and the weight of her ordeal lifting from her shoulders, Amy knew that she had learned a valuable lesson. She had learned that being a detective wasn't just about solving mysteries - it was also about being brave, resourceful, and determined, even in the face of overwhelming odds. And she knew that she would never forget that lesson, no matter what the future held.

There is an FBI fingerprint database and there are ways to inquire about whether someone has a criminal record based on a sample of their fingerprint. The actual process of doing that was simplified for this story lol
