CTRLing Bayley (FFFF/F, F/FFF)

Post by TamatoaShiny123 »

Wrestlemania 40 was fast approaching. In two nights, Bayley would challenge her former friend, Iyo Sky, for her WWE Women’s Championship. The two had once been good friends as part of the dominant Damage Ctrl faction with Dakota Kai. But ever since Kairi Sane and Asuka joined the group, Bayley noticed her friends growing distant from her. So after she won the Royal Rumble, she left the group and announced that she’d challenge for Iyo’s title. She knew no one was backing her up, giving her a four-on-one disadvantage. There was a six-woman tag match on Saturday pitting the rest of Damage Ctrl against the team of Naomi, Bianca Belair, and the debuting Jade Cargill. But the women had beef with Bayley during her days with the faction. So Bayley knew that she had to do this alone.

The show right before Wrestlemania was Friday Night Smackdown. Wearing her purple, white, and green attire, Bayley was set to take on Kairi Sane. Conspicuous by their absences at ringside were the rest of Damage Ctrl. Bayley was suspicious of this and felt that something was up, but she didn’t have time to consider this before Sane was on the attack. The two had a tense back-and-forth match while commentators Corey Graves and Wade Barrett discussed how tense and violent things were between Bayley and her former friends since breaking free of the group.

Near the end of the match, Kairi climbed to the top rope to try and hit an Insane Elbow Drop, her finishing move. Bayley met her up there, and the two exchanged blows until a hard forearm to Bayley’s jaw dropped her to the canvas.

“Bayley is in Kairi’s dropzone. Will this happen with Iyo and her moonsault on Sunday?” Corey asked on commentary.

Kairi leaped off the top rope and went for the elbow drop, but Bayley moved out of the way at the last moment, sending Kairi crashing down. As Kairi sat up and held her arm in pain, Bayley got behind her, hooked both her arms, and rolled backward, trapping Kairi in a crucifix pin. The referee counted to three, ending the match.

“Bayley avoided the Insane Elbow and steals the win!” Wade exclaimed.

As her music played, Bayley staggered on her knees and leaned over the middle rope on the side of the ring that faced the ramp. But to her surprise, Asuka ran out from the crowd, hopped the barricade, and rushed up to Bayley. Asuka gave Bayley a kick to the face, knocking her backward.

“Oh! Asuka just came from out of nowhere and blasted Bayley!” Corey exclaimed.

Asuka ran into the ring and began to stomp on Bayley. Dakota and Iyo ran down the entrance ramp and joined in on the attack while Kairi got to her feet. Dakota and Asuka pulled Bayley to her feet and held her in place for Iyo to run at her and nail her in the face with the Women’s Championship belt.

“Iyo just pummeled Bayley with the belt!” Wade noted with concern. “I think Damage Ctrl is going to make sure the championship match won’t be happening this week!”

The attack was far from done. Kairi and Asuka slid outside the ring, grabbed Bayley’s legs, and pulled her under the bottom rope, so she was out of the ring. They dragged her to the southeast ringpost and held her there. “Koko ni iru nda yo, beirī!” Asuka shouted. Meanwhile, Dakota held up the ring apron and pulled something out. She held it out for the crowd to see.

“Dakota Kai just pulled out a roll of duct tape!” a bewildered Corey shouted.
“I don’t think Damage Ctrl plans on using that to make home repairs,” Wade sarcastically replied.

Dakota grabbed Bayley’s wrists, pulled them behind the ringpost, and wrapped several layers of silver tape around her wrist. Meanwhile, Bayley was too stunned from the attack with the title belt to resist. “How you feelin’, Bayley?” Iyo taunted while Dakota wrapped a few layers around her waist to hold her down to the post.

Iyo got into Bayley’s face. While holding her title in one hand, she grabbed her chin with the other. “This will never be yours!” Iyo shouted. “You were never one of us!”

In defiance, Bayley spat in Iyo’s face. This enraged Iyo, who slapped Bayley across the face. Dakota took the roll of tape and wrapped several layers over Bayley’s mouth around the ringpost and then around her forehead to stop Bayley from moving her head around. “Bayley is getting immobilized by the tape by her former friend Dakota Kai,” Wade said on commentary.

With Bayley completely defenseless, Kairi and Asuka took turns hitting kicks to Bayley’s ribs and forearm smashes to her face. As she was hit, Bayley squirmed in pain against the tape. “Bayley can’t even scream in pain because of the tape over her mouth!” Corey pointed out.

After several moments of strikes, Iyo called them off and took a few steps back. She lined up her title with Bayley’s head a few yards away. “I think Iyo is looking to hit Bayley with the title while she’s taped to the ringpost” Corey shouted.
“If Bayley gets hit with the title while she’s strung up like that, the title match at Wrestlemania won’t just happen,” Wade exclaimed, “Bayley’s career might be ended here tonight!”

Fortunately for Bayley, Naomi, Bianca, and Jade finally came out. They didn’t bother checking on Bayley before chasing the women through the raucous Philadelphia crowd. At the same time, Smackdown GM Nick Aldis ran out with a half-dozen referees. Nick grabbed a pair of scissors from under the ring and cut the tape off Bayley’s wrists while two refs worked to undo the tape that pinned Bayley down to the ringpost. When Bayley was freed, the referees helped Bayley to the back. As for the title contender, her hazy and beat-down mind could only think of the title match and coming up with a way to keep Damage Ctrl out of the way for her match with Iyo…

The next night, Naomi, Bianca, and Jade beat Asuka, Kairi, and Dakota after a dominant showing from Jade. On the preshow of the second night of Wrestlemania on Sunday, interviewer Cathy Kelly walked up to Damage Ctrl’s locker room, hoping to speak with the champion before her match with Bayley. She got to the room right as Iyo was leaving the locker room with the rest of Damage Ctrl. Iyo took the mic from Cathy’s hand. “Bayley, you’re done,” she ominously warned before walking away.

“We might have come up short last night, but Iyo won’t,” Dakota explained. “ She’s getting some last-second things ready before her match tonight. Meanwhile, Kairi, Asuka, and I are getting Iyo’s victory party in gear, so we’re not available for comment right now, except to say that Iyo will finish what we started on Friday.”

With that, Dakota closed the door behind her. “Well, there you have it,” Cathy said to the camera. “The WWE Women’s Championship will be defended during tonight’s opening contest. Back to you-”

Suddenly, Bayley blew past Cathy with a steel chair in hand and a backpack over her shoulder. She kicked the door open and slammed it and locked it behind her. A scuffle could be heard on the other side of the door.

After the show opened properly with the typical hype package and singing of America The Beautiful, the camera cut to the gorilla position right outside the entrance ramp, where Iyo Sky and Nick Aldis were arguing. “The match can’t go on! My friends aren’t here yet!” Iyo argued.

“I don’t care,” Nick argued back, “your match is scheduled to go on right now.”
“But Bayley isn’t even here right now!”
“We’ll deal with that in a moment. Just go out there! Now!”

Reluctantly, Iyo went out to the ring. As she left the camera frame, a referee ran up to him and whispered into his ear. Concerned, the general manager rushed away.

Iyo’s pop star singer Poppy performed a special song as Iyo walked down the entrance ramp. “Iyo hasn’t seen the rest of her group since earlier tonight when she left so they could set up her victory party,” commentator Michael Cole said as Iyo climbed into the ring. “And from what I can tell, Bayley hasn’t been seen since then, either. If Dakota, Kairi, and Asuka-”

“I don’t mean to cut you off, Cole,” Corey interrupted, “But I’m getting word that something is happening outside Damage Ctrl’s locker room.”

The giant titantron screen on top of the entrance ramp suddenly cut to footage being taken from outside the locker room. A dozen referees and production agents were banging and trying to kick the door open. Standing to the side was Bayley, smirking as she watched this scene unfold. “What is going on?!” Nick shouted at her as he ran up to her. “Where have you been?!”

“I just had to take care of something,” Bayley mischievously grinned. “I’d love to stick around and chat, but I have a match to get to.”

With that, Bayley walked toward the ring. Nick watched for a second before trying to get some clarity from the agents on what was happening.

From the ring, Iyo watched in shock. “Where are they?!” she shouted. “What did you do to them, Bayley?!”

The titantron then cut to another camera feed, this time inside Damage Ctrl’s locker room. In the room were the three girls, all bound and gagged. Dakota was taped down on a wooden bench. Her wrists were taped in front of her, but they were taped down to her stomach. Tape went around the bench at the shoulders, waist, thighs, and ankles. Two pieces of tape were placed around her mouth in an x-formation. Kairi was seated in a steel folding chair, her wrists and elbows taped behind the chair. Her lap was taped down to the chair seat, while her ankles were separately taped to the chair legs. A white cloth was stuffed in her mouth, with another white cloth tied around her mouth to hold it in. Finally, Asuka was lying on the floor of the locker room. Her knees were frogtied with tape, and her wrists were taped behind her back in a frogtie position. A white towel was folded over her mouth to block any attempt to spit poison mist, and several layers of tape were wrapped around the towel to keep it in place. All three women were struggling to break free.

“It looks like Bayley found a way to even the odds before she wrestled Iyo Sky tonight!” Corey laughed.
“It’s just too bad that the poor cameraman had to get locked in with them,” Pat McAfee, the third commentator for the show, cheekily replied.

Iyo was enraged, kicking the ring ropes with fury. Moments later, Bayley triumphantly came out and ran toward the ring. The two women locked up and had a one-on-one match for Iyo’s championship, free from any Damage Ctrl-related interference.
