Fiction. It says it has one page saved, but the link just takes you to the home page instead of the story.

That's the case for a lot of stories, and means it probably can't be found at all. But I'll look for it the next time I cruise through there.

What about the fiction story titled "The Bondage Buddies. All Taped Up (MMMM/mm)" ?
It included a character named Donovan, and the former link was

Hey bud!
Unfortunately, "The Bondage Buddies" didn't survive the forum transition.
I can still see it using the WayBackMachine, but the story itself was actually never saved, even though I'd been working on it from 2015 to 2018.
The Locker Room Thief and Burglary Attempt Gone Wrong both survived, but most of the stuff I wrote didn't.
Glad to have you back though, and hope to see you posting on the forum more regularly.

Hi!
I’m looking for a story on the old site but I can’t seem to find it cached anywhere. A quick Google search turned out the link

Anyone have any tips on how to retrieve it?

Does anyone remember stories from someone who I think was called Phil H? I only remember him finding a long green rope to play with, and jumping off a dock tied up with a friend into a lake, but I couldn’t find any stories.

4. Execute this command to perform a search queries on all the files in the map: find . -type f -exec grep -il 'your_search_query' {} + | egrep viewtopic. This will result in a list of topics that contain your search query. It works great if you still remember the name of the story you're looking for. The search isn't case sensitive so don't worry about that. Remove the i from the grep parameters if you want it to be case sensitive.
5. Copy 1 of the results to the search field in explorer/files and double click the file, it will open in your browser.
So here an example:
find . -type f -exec grep -il 'Kidnapped For Insulting Dena' {} + | egrep viewtopic
Result:
./viewtopic.php?f=32&t=7386
./viewtopic.php?f=32&t=7386&p=27334
Perform a search on these files, don't forget to remove the ./
I think this is the moment when I can finally confess that what skill I have with regexp is thanks to those times when I've thought "I wonder if there's a story somewhere involving (something) and (something else), how can I write a query that will match that?"
(I don't actually include that on my professional resume, generally.
)
