I believe we need an off topic section for the site like the old site's General section

The moderation team has discussed this and the main problem was that topics tended to get into controversial and political discussions pretty quickly and it required heavy moderation.

I don't agree. I believe what we REALLY need, is a more proactive community and people who, like yourself, post comments on the stories they read.

It was discussed among-st the team, and we decided that Off Topic sections such as General Chat and Jump in the Fire was toxic and distracted from what this board was designed to to.

I'm locking this thread, as there will be no further discussion of this permitted.
