Writing Recommendations/Requests

Post by SquidIncMaster »

Hello all! I am a beginner writer on this site and I would love to keep on writing! I have been very encouraged by positive feedback and would love to hear any advice or ideas!

Firstly, I think this thread might be helpful for you - Tips For Beginners: Storywriting

My personal advice would be to read other stories wherever you can, and think about what you liked about them, and what you can learn from them. I would also suggest focussing on what you enjoy, rather than what you think others will - if you're enjoying what you're writing, that will likely come across to anyone reading it. Finally, don't forget to proof read, or better still, ask someone to proof read for you, if possible. Getting a fresh pair of eyes on your writing can help iron things out, and get the story that you want to tell across more clearly.

I won't bombard you with any more advice, and there's plenty more than my brief suggestions in the thread that I linked, but good luck, and try to enjoy it!
