I personally agree that gags are usually a essential part of being bound for me,, not that i'm totally against one not being gagged but the fact of being tied up and then having your ability to speak or even make much noise at all really adds to the helplessness , the only real times I'm okay with no gags being present are in more fun and playful tie up scenarios ( where the captive is only being tied for fun and not needing to be gagged unless it's part of the fun ) or in a situation were calling out for help wouldn't do much good anyway ( like being in a isolated area were no one would likely come across them ) but even still I think a gag would still make the scene much better. heck I love when in some scenarios were a captive is gagged even if it's not necessary and it's really just added to let them know they are in no control in anyway...and with that said, I'm not super picky when it comes to the actual gagging ,but I do have some personal preferences like tape gags, OTM and Cleave gags

I love gags! I think I appreciate them more than I used to, due to may partner, and my growing awareness of needing domination along with bondage.

I definitely qualify as a gag snob. I've been tied up and gagged, and tied up with no gag, and believe me being gagged as well as bound is way better. My personal preference is a cleave gag, but some (used) panties inserted as well is the business.

An enduring image for me came from a specialist magazine many years ago, in which a young woman was tied up and gagged with tape, in a room which had a phone. She managed to get to it and dial for help, despite being tied behind her back, and the reader was then left to imagine how she would have told the person at the other end who she was, where she was, why she needed help, etc.

Anyone tried that, I wonder?

Agreed. If I'm going to be in bondage, I want to be as helpless as possible, and being gagged is a big part of that. I could have a bunch of ropes thouroughly tying me up but the experience is just not complete unless I am wearing a gag.

Generally, I like otm, tape, and cleave gags and I am accomidating as to which kind of gag I wear. However, being gagged is a requirement for me whenever I do bondage. Knowing that I can't call for help is very exciting.

The gag for me means that the captive is smart enough to talk their' way out of the situation. Sure concealment is often a reason used. However, the gag signals that tying this person up is simply not enough. They require the full treatment because they're so troublesome.

I mean sure... if you kidnap someone you dont want them screaming around for help and gags looks cool in bondage and kindanping situations

I prefer to think of myself as a "gag connoisseur." I like them tight and stifling. Particular fan of ball gags and harness gags.

Getting tied up or tying a guy up is not complete without a gag.

My preferences in descending order (there must be a stuffing in the mouth large enough not to choke):

Duct-tape, gaffer tape, or that medical adhesive tape

OTM bandanas or white handkerchiefs

Ball-gags

Leather muzzle gags

Cleave-gags

Huge gag snob! Especially for otm gags

I honestly don't really see the appeal,without a gag. I guess they would just fulfill my fantesies. Though I think I can understand why you wouldn't want a gag on all the time.

I like leaving the gag off for a bit. I'm more of a roleplay guy though. I want them to beg, ask questions, etc then gag them. I would say I am one but it depends on the the situation as well.

Gags are fun but I also like being tied up so I have to use my mouth. Like kissing not hugging, undoing zips and buttons, pulling pants or tights down, pulling socks off. Also being tied up having to suck toes, lik feet or more intimate places.
