This had a really strong opening! You've taken the time to set up your story with a level of writing that isn't often seen on this forum. Kudos for that!
I liked how Hollywood in this story winds up being in many ways worse than the Mexican cartel's turf that mama grew up in. A nicely subtle commentary hanging around in the background of your staged kidnapping/sex slave story.
