[mention]tarkin[/mention] we could possibly apply the change, but I am not comfortable applying an unofficial change to the websites source code. I'm sure the phpBB devs will provide a fix sooner or later, so for now everyone should follow the suggestioned action for getting around this.

And just to give everyone an update on the issue......there is no update. I checked the current version of phpBB in the admin panel and we are still on the latest version. So is this problem fixed? No. When will this problem be fixed? When the phpBB devs release the next version of the forum softwar...

@chadmc90 Tend to disagree. Would be better in "True Stories for Adults". Certainly should be in an adult section. @RopingRingers Thanks for checking. As per [mention]Xtc[/mention] Xtc's suggestion, I moved this to True Stories for Adults. Please add a gender tag to follow forum rules.

The site just finished its migration to the new server. Hopefully, the site will run much faster than before. Let me know how well the site is loading so I can gauge if it has helped.

Update: It looks like it will only apply to future site users, and not change defaults for current members that have not set their interests. Everyone needs to go in and update their profiles to add their actual interests to it rather than leave the old default.

I'm only restoring this topic because it does have some valid points.

Per Ballgag's suggestion, I changed the default value for "Interests" to not have actual examples in it. It now says the following:

I just logged in, and it looks like the site still hasn't finished migrating yet (it's still at 60%). I will keep an eye on this to see it's progress change in the next few days. Hopefully, once it finishes migration, we will have a better running website.

The upgrade seems to have improved site performance so far. Let's hope it remain fast.

My main concern is when there are photos of real children are posted. I do not want to be on the receiving end of some lawsuit, as children have no right to consent. If its artwork or 3D renderings, then I am more lenient, as that is fictional.

That 80 dollars is usually a promotional price, which would likely double after the promotional period ends, depending on the webhost. The IP blocking could cause a tiny amount of lag, but I thought the tradeoff would still be positive compared to having 100s of bots creeping on our site. I can't just snap my fingers and make this fix go away. This is a php dev issue. When they release a new, stable version of the software, I will update when I can get time. Until then, as bondagefreak said, just let the system delete for you.

No problem. Extensions take all of 5 minutes to add, so hot alot of work honestly.

I've disabled the text editor extension. It was causing users trouble and it was not allowing mentions to work anymore.
