When I was a boy, we sometimes tied each other up with our boy scout neckerchiefs, and with bandages from our first aid kits.

Re: Billy and The Escape Room (M/m)
You should think about commenting on them, then ;) You'll soon come to realise just how critical reader comments are, and how detrimental silence can be. Most authors on this site drop out fairly quickly due to the readers staying silent. We have no way of knowing if our works are being read and en...

Glad nothing went wrong. Just a caution, though. Always have an immediate out. You never know if you might need it.

Re: Billy and The Escape Room (M/m)
Good start. Seems hauntingly familiar to games and challenges my friends and I made between the ages of 9 and 15. No adult involvement, though. We were all scouts, and rope play was something we lived with. We had a core of nine boys, three of whom were quite good at escapes, as they were tall and s...

Re: Which bondage scenario do you prefer
I like the idea of being in a group of 4-7 friends exploring a ghost town or an abandoned 2-3 story house, and being captured or kidnapped by crooks using the place for a hideout. Our hands and feet are tied, then we get hog tied, then gagged with bandanas. I also like the idea of being 12-14 years ...

Write about what you know. If you write about what you don't know, it will show. Spell Check and Grammarly are your friends. Use them. But remember that Spell Check will not catch homonyms, as in to, too, and two." Have your work proofread prior to posting. By posting a story, you invite commen...

Re: THe Old Hut (M/mm) Jimmy and Paul - A revelation : added.. Just an epilogue
I didn't say I was perfect. I also admitted that I might have missed something. It's easy to do, when doing scanning a story, instead of reading it thoroughly. And, as I said, there have been times when my mind wanders, and I make my own mistakes. Some of them quite glaring. My apologies for the err...

Re: THe Old Hut (M/mm) Jimmy and Paul - A revelation : added.. Just an epilogue
Quite well done. There was an obvious omission, and that was how the boys escaped. At the end of the story, the boys are still tied. The sequel jumps ahead three weeks, and we never knew how they got loose. Were they found by friends, and untied? Did they have a sudden flash of brilliance, get thems...

That's a great story. They are a good team. They better make sure Doug like the way they'll tie him or he might decide to bail the burglers out for real to get tied up again, huh?  There are others out there. "Doug Moves In," "Welcome Charlie," and others. Just enter ...

Re: The color of your bandana or handkerchief
I'm patriotic. I like red or blue bandanas/scout neckerchiefs, or 7-8 foot long white bandages, torn from sheets. (They were intended as bandages for our first aid kits, but more often than not, were used to tie and gag captives)

Go back to the old westerns, and when anyone got tied up, 99% of the time, they were wearing boots. The exception might be a captured Indian, who wore moccasins.

No rope/binding around the neck. Ever! If the captive wants to be released, he/she is released immediately. No questions asked, no teasing. Always have a "spotter." (spotter can be out of sight of the captive, or the captive may be blindfolded, but the spotter is always there.) Time limit ...

As a kid, I was tied back to back, and side by side with friends. I lived in a big house and had a big room, so I could invite up to four friends to sleep over. We sometimes played "home invasion," with two different versions. "Home invasion early," where the "invaders"...

Re: Parental disapproval?
Never had a problem with the parents, and never knew of any of my friend's parents having a problem. Of course, 99% of the time, we played when the parents were not home. I'd have a friend or two over to spend the night, the parents would be at a party or social event, and my friends and I would exc...

Interesting. Technically and grammatically sound; no glaring spelling errors, and well written. Chris has a tendency to be a bit verbose, but when I write, I get that way, too. A solid A.

Always have an "out." And always have a "spotter." All too often, Murphy's Law applies: "If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong, usually at the worst possible moment."

Re: which story format do you prefer?
A lot of it depends on your skill as a writer/story teller. The first thing, is that the first paragraph or two has to reach out, grab the reader by the neck, and yell "READ ME!! Most novels have "short" chapters, and if you write like that, you need an "attention getter." a...

Drawscore Thanks for the feedback. I'll see if I can make it clearer with the paragraphs. I'm not a very good writer. I know my stories aren't everyone's cup of tea, and I'm sure many will avoid them because of some of the things you mentioned, but I'm having a lot of fun with them and getting bett...
