Chapter 1: The First Victim

“You sure you have everything you need, Alex?”, my mum asked, as she put her bag into the car. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head amused. “Yes, mum, we have all the beer we need.”

She came back, giving me her playfully stern look. “I guess we do have to lock you up in the attic, after all. I knew a teenager can't be trusted.” The look didn't last long, before we both had to grin. “Have fun”, she said, before hugging me a last time.

I know, as a teenager, I should be ashamed of being hugged and kissed by my mum, but this always seemed silly to me. My mum was great, there was nothing to be ashamed about. Even though I could feel Eric, my best friend, grinning at me.

“Well, I really have to go now. See you on Monday.” She started to get back to the car again, but then stopped and looked up something on her phone. Suddenly, without a word, she turned around and took a picture of me and Eric.

It took me a few surprised seconds, before I managed to complain. “You could have just asked, you know? Do you believe this woman, taking pics of us without asking?”, I said, while turning back to my friend. He put on his horrified face. “Unbelievable, Unforgivable!”

“It's more fun this way! And I needed a picture of you, all dressed up.”

I and Eric chuckled. His relationship to my mum was surprisingly close, for someone who wasn't part of the family. We should have expected that a picture of us would be taken, considering that we normally only wore jeans and t-shirts.

I laid an arm over Erics shoulder, as we watched the car drive away. “I can't wait for the others. Everyone will look so pretty”, I exclaimed, my eyes full of sparkles. The look Eric gave me was one that he needed a lot, when he spent time with me. It was the “I'm so disappointed in you”-look, with the angry brows and the piercing stare. “You seriously need to stop watching My Little Pony. I told you that these pastel colors are melting your brain.”

“You introduced me to the show! Oh, it's so great, and so fun, and the writing is so clever, Mr. I-can't-stop-singing-their-musical-numbers.”

Eric tried to not look too sheepishly, while going inside. I followed him to the kitchen, where we would wait for our friends to arrive.

“You know, you do look great. Nearly like a grown-up”, I teased, but had a hard time not to enjoy the sight. His black tie had a beautiful paisley pattern, a shiny, intense blue.

Erics face became slightly more red, than it was before, but he recovered soon by taking on his pompous pose. “Of course I do. Like always!” He snickered, getting back to his normal posture. “But thanks. I wasn't too happy, when you told me that you expected me to actually dress up for this James Bond party, but it actually feels nice.”

As everything was prepared, we decided to watch some tv, while waiting for the rest of our friends. It didn't take too long for the bell to ring.

Kevin was the first to arrive. I was glad, that Eric was already here, because I had a hard time with this guy. Every group probably has someone like him, who is more tolerated than actually liked, but still tags along all the time. He also tried to bring his other friends, two mean, obnoxious guys, into the group, something that continued to get on everyones nerves.

Neil and Justin, the only couple of our group, were next. They wore the same suit and shirt, with Justin wearing a light blue bow-tie with a light pink pocket square. Neil also wore a bow-tie and a pocket square, but with reversed colors. “You look lovely, guys”, I told them, being answered with a smile.

Shawn arrived a few minutes later. “Hey, where is your tie?”, I asked, already knowing the answer. “I put up with the suit, that has to be enough.” I sighed, but let him in. I knew in advance that Shawn wasn't keen on getting dressed up. I was happy that he had tried at all.

Soon Hunter, and shortly afterwards Peter, arrived. Both were impeccably dressed, one in a light grey and the other in a light blue suit.

Now that everyone was here, the evening could finally start.

We started with a game of Poker. I mainly wanted an evening of chilling with my friends. And having an excuse to make them dress up. We would watch Casino Royale, and I had found something non-alcoholic that, the website promised, tastes exactly like a Martini. So, I told Eric and myself, the theme totally fit.

After an hour, we took a break and the group broke up into smaller parts. Hunter wanted to take a look at my video game collection, so I let him take a look at my Steam library in my room. It was one floor higher. The house was constructed for more people, but my siblings had all moved out by this point, so there was way too much space and more rooms than necessary.

I don't know where the others spent their time, but someone seemed to have had some fun. To get to the stairs, we had to pass another room. We stopped, as we heard something from inside.

Peter was inside, but not in the state I would have expected. He was lying on the floor, grunting and wriggling. His hands were tied behind his back, connected to his drawn-back feet. Additional rope was added at the lower and upper legs, as well as at the upper body, to pin the arms down. Multiple layers of tape were wrapped around his mouth. As his cheeks were bulging, it looked like something was stuck inside.

He increased his struggle, as soon as he saw us, trying desperately to tell us something through his effective gag. I probably should have freed him, but was in shock. Hunter didn't seem to mind what he saw, as he just started to laugh. This made Peter angry, and he tried even harder to get free. But he got nowhere.

When I finally tried to free my friend, Hunter held me by the shoulder. “Wait, wait”, he said, before shouting “Everyone come here, you need to see this!” I threw him a look, but relented. Peter probably had angered someone during the game, and it wasn't unusual to get some payback. No damage in getting a few good-natured laughs, everyone in our group accustomed to that. Peter seemed to disagree, as he, again, intensified his struggle, but he would think differently if our places were switched. I knew from experience.

Soon, the whole group was here and enjoyed the fun sight. I still had no idea who the perpetrator was, but before I could ask, Kevin spoke up. “Well done, Alex. But, uh, why did you tie him up?”

“It wasn't him”, Hunter said. “We were in the other room, the whole time.”

Before I could say something, I caught Erics devious look. My best friend had an idea, how to make this even better. And we knew each other well enough, he didn't need to tell me.

“Welcome to the main event, guys! You didn't think this was just about playing Poker and watching a movie, did you?”

Dramatic pause. Even Peter had stopped struggling, and waited for me to go on.

“Someone in this group is a criminal, and he is tasked with catching the agents. It could be me, it could be anyone else. Except for Peter, the first victim, of course.” I kneeled down, patting the head of my tied up friend. He only answered with a few angry grunts, and some struggling. Plus a red head, as the rest of the group started to laugh again.

“The goal is to find and catch the criminal. Considering that I know who it is, I will not help you find him, but I hope you guys have fun.”

The grins that I saw showed me that I had hit the right nerve. I knew my friends.

“What about Peter? I mean, he already knows, so he can't really play anymore, right?”, Neil asked. I didn't need to think long about that one, there was only one answer.

“Of course, everyone who gets caught has lost the game. And the only way to ensure that they can't spoil it for anyone else, is to make sure that they stay tied and gagged for the rest of it.”

Eric patted me on the back, laughing with joy. Peter, on the other hand, hat started struggling again, and this time it seemed to be panic. But, as before, there was no escape. He grunted and struggled, but there was nothing he could do. Peter was stuck, strictly tied up as he was, for us to free him. And I had just made sure that this would take some time, maybe even a few hours.

I already knew that I would pay for this. But for now, it was fun and exciting. I had just given the perpetrator a perfect excuse to tie up more people. And one of them could easily be me.

Thanks, slave, I'm glad you liked the first part. Here is the second, got a bit longer than expected. :D

Chapter 2: Battle of Wits

Peter had to deal with a last bit of fun, before we made our way back down. Kevin had the beautiful idea, that we made a few pictures of every victim, so that we could always remember our game.

I tried to hide my excitement. I had my best friends here, all dressed up in suits, and had now an excuse for getting multiple pictures of them. And, not gonna lie, rope and gag added something special. Peters tie was silver colored, not completely unlike the tape, and the brown rope fit the light blue suit pretty well.

The grin that Eric threw my way made it clear that he knew how much I loved that idea of making pics. But no one else seemed to notice, and there was no way of hiding anything from my best friend anyway.

Peter had to accept, that everyone wanted to take pictures with him. He couldn't do more than grown, as Neil and Justin made him sit on his lower legs, while they positioned themselves to his left and right, waiting for the shot. I took the pictures, of course, but everyone else got out their phones too.

We had way too much fun with the poor guy, so it wasn't much of a surprise that he didn't even complain, as we walked out of the room and closed the door, leaving him unable to move.

Me and Eric fell back a little, as he approached me. “Any idea who did this? I mean, it wasn't actually planned, right?”, he asked in a low voice. I shook my head. “No idea. You didn't see anyone go up there?”

He thought for a moment. “No, everyone split up, I was the only one left in the kitchen. And I was too focused on my phone to actually notice anything.”

I scratched my head in confusion. It was exciting and fun, but I also didn't want this to go on forever. Partly because I didn't want to become the next victim, but it was also irritating that there was something out of my control, at my own party.

The bell rang, as we reached the end of the stairs. I sent Eric into the kitchen with the others, before looking who was there.

A grinning 20-year old greeted me. “Nice outfit, Alex. Which of your friends are you trying to seduce?”

It took me some time to collect my thoughts, like always when I saw my neighbor Victor. He had babysat me in my earlier years, and had become a good friend of the family. I had recently developed a huge crush on him, which still made me somewhat dizzy, whenever he came over.

But I also worked hard on not showing him any of this. “Oh, I made everyone dress up. James Bond party, you know.” He continued grinning, knowingly. “But, uh, thanks.”

“So, everything ok? You know, just call me if you need anything. Your mum asked me to have an eye on you guys.”

“Sure, we just played some Poker. I guess we will continue, and later on we will watch Casino Royale. Should be fun.”

Victor thought about this for a second. “You know, that sounds nice. Mind if I join you later on?”

My heart skipped a beat. It wasn't the first time that Victor had hung out with me and my friends either, he was just the archetypical nice, big brother. Everyone would be happy to see him.

But I had to try my luck. “Only if you follow the dress code. Suit and tie is mandatory today.”

Victor couldn't help laughing. “You are such a dork, you know that?”

I involuntarily grinned. Not wanting to let this chance pass, I continued to talk to Victor for some more time. The others could wait for a few minutes. After an unspecified amount of time, he finally excused himself, promising to come back later.

“You know that he knows, that you have a crush on him, do you? And that he is just incapable of disappointing his silly, little wanna-be brother?” Eric had laid his arm over my shoulder, while patting me on the head. “But I get it, you are adorable. No one would dream of disappointing you.”

I wanted to say something, but couldn't help laughing over the silliness of the whole situation. Not that I could have been angry at Eric, and his obnoxiously disarming grin. And I knew that he just spoke the truth.

“You know that he isn't gay, right?”, he said, suddenly very soft and careful. I looked back into his face, and saw some worry in there. “I know, I know”, I said, not able to contain my sigh. “But I will take what I can get.”

We just stood there for a few moments, before hearing Shawn. He called from upstairs.

Together with most of my other friends, I went back up to the room where we had left Peter. I had suspected that he might have freed himself, but the poor guy was still in the same predicament as before.

What actually made Shawn call us, was the fact that Peter had company. Kevin lay next to him, tied and gagged in pretty much the same way. Both boys grunted in frustration, with Peter probably being annoyed that he was seen in this state again by everyone. Kevin just avoided our looks.

Not that it helped him in any way. “Well, time for some pictures!”, Shawn proclaimed happily, and got out his phone. Kevin tried to protest, while wriggling as much as humanly possible. But it was as impossible for him to escape, as it was for Peter. With the feet tied strictly to the hands, even crawling around seemed like a lot of work.

I felt a bit of pity. Kevin was the butt of our jokes most of the times, and he didn't have particularly high self esteem. But then, I remembered the time we met at his place. I was there before the rest of the group, and was greeted by his two buddies. Their idea of fun was to tie me up, let me smell their disgusting socks, made me eat disgusting things and blasted my ears with music that was way too loud.

I only learned later, that this was a setup, and the rest was invited an hour later. Kevins friends had asked him if they could have a bit of fun with me. Kevin, naive as he was, just said sure and invited me earlier.

While my friends had done similar things to me, and vice versa, we never went that far. We knew when to stop, unlike these two jerks.

Kevin had apologized afterwards, but he wasn't really part of our group anymore, the way he was before.

My pity didn't survive long, for that reason. I had too much fun, making pictures, posing with him and just appreciating the sight of two well dressed guys tied up, struggling and helplessly complaining into their gags. That Kevin actually looked pretty adorable with his bow-tie didn't help, it just made his situation more fun for me.

But I needed to find out who was behind this. I really didn't want to switch places, lying on the floor struggling, while my friends amused themselves about my predicament. And while it was nice to get pictures of my friends in that way, I wasn't too keen on having some taken of me.

But who was it? I had no idea what happened, while I was at the door. It was probably time to play my role as game master.

“So, what actually happened here? I walked downstairs with all of you, then was at the door until Shawn called us. What were the others doing?”

While everyone thought back, Eric started talking. “We all were in the kitchen, except for you and Peter. Talking about the game, you know? Not even who the, uh, killer is, just that the whole thing was a fun idea.”

“Right”, Hunter chimed in. “And then Kevin said he needed to go back up, having forgotten his phone.” He took a look around the room, not seeing anything. Kevin tried to protest, but the ropes made it impossible to keep Justin from getting the phone out of his pocket.

“Well, he was up here for some time, so he actually might have forgotten it. And he is tied up, so whatever his plans were, he obviously is not our killer.” Kevin grunted and nodded, still struggling. He desperately wanted out.

“What else happened? When I went back out, to see if Alex was still at the door, everyone else was in the kitchen”, Eric added.

“Not much, actually”, Justin said. “Neil went to the bathroom. I only saw him again, when we got called. I talked to Hunter, while Shawn went upstairs. He seemed to be curious about what Kevin was doing so long up there, looking for his phone.”

I let this sink in for a bit, before coming to a conclusion. “So none of you has an alibi, right? Incredible, haha.” This was just great. My friends didn't realize, that staying together would be a good idea during a game like this.

“Except for Justin and me. We were in the kitchen the whole time”, Hunter said.

“Which doesn't mean much. If one of you is the killer, he might have just asked the other one for help. I don't think you two can be trusted”, Shawn said. He looked around, finally letting his eyes rest on me. “And neither Alex, nor Eric are cleared either. There was someone at the door, yes, but what if Alex just had a friend ring the bell, so he had an excuse to tie up Kevin? And Eric might have went upstairs, before looking for the door.”

It seemed, like he wasn't done either. “You know, now that I think about it, Alex seems pretty suspicious. First, he makes us dress up and then he creates a game that makes sure he would get a bunch of pics from us in these clothes.” He looked to the others. “Come on, guys, you know that he loves this opportunity.”

I gulped. That really didn't seem good. And that it was Shawn, the one who had found Kevin, felt suspicious, especially with how he tried very hard to get the blame on someone else.

But I had an ally, someone I could always trust.

Mine and Erics eyes met, and I moved my head lightly into Shawns direction. I couldn't do anything, but Eric had the option. He nodded.

“But Kevin suggested, that we would take pictures. If that is an argument, he should be the killer, which he obviously is not.”

Shawn wasn't moved. “Maybe he and Alex worked together. And it was Alex's plan all along, to have a scapegoat. Now he can have his pictures, without being suspicious at all. Or so he thought!”

I started to sweat. Eric, do something!

The others just stood there, mesmerized by the duel of our friends. It was actually really exciting, being in danger of getting tied up and not being able to defend myself in any direct way, not knowing how this would actually end.

Eric clearly had fun, and fully embraced the role of being my attorney. His look was absurdly dramatic, fully focused on his opponent.

“OBJECTION!”, he shouted, swinging his right arm in Shawns direction, pointing his index finger at him. This should have been completely ridiculous, but Eric sold it, somehow. Maybe the suit gave him some actual gravitas.

“We all thought the idea with the pics was great. I mean, this game is fun, and what better way to memorize it? You, too, have made a bunch of pictures with both Kevin AND Peter, like we all did. And I can promise you, I didn't do it because they are dressed up, but because they are TIED up! Sure, Alex might get even a bit more joy out of this, but we all have fun here. Don't deny it!”

Everyone was taken in by this intense performance, even Peter and Kevin had stopped struggling. I couldn't stand the tension! The only exception was Shawn, who started to grin. Eric was clearly not the only one who had fun here.

“OBJECTION!”, he exclaimed, throwing his open hand down on the desk. “You are not neutral at all, Eric. The only reason why you defend Alex is because you are best friends! You were even here, long before the party started! Ok, I buy that Kevin is just a victim. But the reason, why you defend Alex, is just because you either don't want your bff to get punished, or because you are the killer yourself, and need him as defence!”

It probably would have looked ridiculous, seeing these 15-year old teenagers throwing weird accusations at each other. But somehow, we couldn't help but take them seriously.

Eric smiled deviously. He started a final attack.

“You are just throwing around accusations now, aren't you? First, it's Kevin, then it's Alex, and now it's me. Or maybe, we worked all together. You know, it seems more like you are trying desperately to put the blame somewhere else, so no one might think of YOU!”

Shawn was taken aback by this direct attack. Before he could get a word in, Eric continued.

“You don't have an alibi either, and you were the one who had found Kevin in this state. How are we supposed to know, that you didn't tie him up, and then called us? What better way, to make it look like you are innocent?!”

Shawn tried to hold his posture, but it was clear that his confidence had taken a hit. Not a small feat, considering that he was sort-of the bad boy of our group. I really wouldn't put it past him, to be the perpetrator, and that this was his way of getting back at me for making him dress up. He liked to take revenge on anyone of us, who he felt had wronged him.

No one else said anything either, and even our captured friends hadn't started struggling again. I counted the seconds, for anyone to say something. If Eric had succeeded, Shawn would be the next one to be tied and gagged. And, if he actually was behind everything, he would likely stay so until the morning.

But if Eric had failed, he would likely be out of the game. And Shawn would find another way to blame everything on me. I got nervous, when I thought about the possibility of staying bound and gagged for the rest of the night.

I didn't dare say anything, and both Eric and Shawn seemed to have run out of steam. We were all waiting for the jury to reach a verdict.

I'm really liking this story so far.
Personally, I could go for more physical descriptions of these guys, but overall it's still really good.
And I'm looking forward to the next part.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, guys. I'm glad that its as fun to read as it is to write. I was a bit afraid that letting Alex talk so much about how he likes to see his friends dressef up would irritate people. I'm glad that I was wrong.
Stoutland395 wrote: 3 years ago Personally, I could go for more physical descriptions of these guys, but overall it's still really good.
I thought about doing that, and detailing everyones body and outfit when they appeared for the party. But I can't imagine anyone being able to get something out of me detailing their outfits, hair and physical builds. Would take forever, and seems pretty boring to me. I just don't like to include detailed descriptions inside a story, it's really hard to write in an interesting way. And with eight characters, no one will remember much detail about single people. There just aren't that many possibilities for variation, when everyone wears a suit.

But I found the idea intriguing (because, and that might be somewhat obvious, I really like describing dress clothes combinations), so I put a description of everyone in a spoiler, at the top of the first chapter. That way, whoever is interested can read how the characters look, and everyone else can easily skip it.

That said, I'm not sure if that was what you meant. Did you mean just a description, so you know what to imagine, or do you mean inside the story? Like, more description about how they are tied up, or how they look while struggling?

To be honest, I didn't think this story would be that interesting to you, considering no one had to smell or taste dirty socks by now. I guess I can take it as a big compliment, that you still enjoy it anyway.

But, even if I take breaks for months, I will never stop writing. I will also finish the other story, but this idea really wanted out.

I agree with FelixSH, he should let the readers use their imaginations. There is nothing worse than when the author doesn't get his characters to look like they do in one's imagination!

Chapter 3: Catching the Killer

To everyones surprise, it was Justin who spoke up. He was, in general, rather shy and didn't speak much. But he did love analyzing and overthinking stuff, so he probably felt very much in his element. His normal, dreamy look was gone, his eyes were laser-focused, switching between me, Eric and Shawn.

“I agree with Eric. Shawn acted very suspicious, and honestly, we know him. He likes jerking with us. Actually, is there anyone who hasn't been victim of multiple of his pranks, at some point?”

My stomach got lighter with every word I heard. For whatever reason, when Justin decided to say something, we listened. It helped that his arguments were always well thought out.

“Wait a second, we all play pranks on each other, all the time. I'm not the only one who does that”, Shawn argued, though he clearly got nervous. These piercing eyes were hard to look at.

“But you ARE the biggest jerk of us, don't deny it. Remember, when I became friends with all of you? You tied me up, demanding me to proof my worth by escaping”, Hunter said. He had joined our group of friends less than a year ago, and had to fight a bit to get accepted.

He looked at us, seeing our slightly ashamed faces. “I mean, you all enjoyed it, seeing me struggling. But you initiated it, Shawn.”

With my tension dissolving, I realized that Peter had started struggling again. He grunted into his gag, but just couldn't get anything out. His frustration was obvious, as he rolled around on the floor, tugging at the merciless rope.

But my focus was immediately drawn back, as I heard Shawn move. He tried to flee, but unfortunately for him, was also further inside the room than everyone else. And while he was the tallest of us, and well trained as well, he was no match for Eric, who was equally tall, and the well trained Hunter. Both blocked him, as he tried to break through, with Justin and Neil soon coming to their aid by getting a hold of Shawns arms.

“Let me go! I didn't tie anyone up, I swear!”, he said, fighting our friends like his life depended on it. I couldn't help but smile. It was completely impossible to tell from this reaction alone, if he actually was the perpetrator. The thought of losing was just unbearable for Shawn, he would say anything not to lose.

But there was just no way to defend yourself against four other people. Shawn was put on the floor, stomach on the ground, and held by Eric and Hunter. “I hope you have fun down there, you will spend the next few hours that way”, Eric teased, making Shawn renew his fight. But there was really nothing for him to do, at this point.

“Can you get some stuff out of your garage?”, Hunter asked me. Before I could answer, Justin offered to get the stuff for us, and vanished.

This was not the first time people were tied up at my house. Everyone knew where to find some material.

We decided just to wait. Shawn could only make a few threats (“You will pay for this!”), before the door to the room was opened again. It wasn't Justin, though, but my neighbor Victor.

Thankfully, it wasn't me who held Shawn down. Lightning struck me, and I was only able to stare at my gorgeous neighbor. He wore a blue three-piece suit, with a white shirt and a burgundy tie. I was incapable of even saying hello.

He looked at us with an amused grin. “Amazing, guys. I don't think I ever saw you not looking like bums.” The others weren't as incapable of talking as I was. “Says the biggest bum of all of us. You actually look like an adult, for once”, Eric answered, still working on keeping Shawn on the ground.

“Nice to see you. Looking good, man”, Neil said. Victor walked over to me, still grinning, ruffled my hair. “Just couldn't say no to my favorite, little pal.”

I let him go on a bit, before saying: “Thanks for coming. You look great.” He smiled, warm and welcoming as always. “You too, everyone. Seriously, nice look, guys. But, uh...” Victor finally looked at Peter and Kevin, who had gone back to helplessly struggling and grunting, trying to get his attention. “What the hell is going on?” His eyes also wandered to Shawn, who had started to ask for help.

It didn't take long for us, to explain the game to him. I kept silent, as I knew that I wouldn't be able to tell a lie. Not to my crush.

Not that Victor minded. He found the whole situation hilarious. “You guys are always so much fun to hang out with”, he said, walking over to Kevin. “Having fun, buddy?”, he asked, earning an angry, helpless stare.

A few moments later, Justin came in, carrying a bunch of rope, scissors and two rolls of duct tape. “Hi, again”, he said to Victor. “Who wants to do the honors?”

“I'd like to”, Eric volunteered. “I defeated him, after all. Victor, can you help us? Just hold Shawns hands together.”

He took the rope, and started to tie Shawn up. Hands, upper body, legs. And finally, connecting the hands to the feet. Eric oriented himself on the excellent work that had been done on Peter and Kevin. Shawn struggled as hard as he could, but with a college student holding him down, it was an even more lost cause than before.

This didn't stop him from complaining, which he continued to do for the whole time. My brain decided to work again, at least for a few seconds, and I decided to use this against him.

“You know, we should punish Shawn a bit more, for being such a sore looser”, I said, not being able to contain my evil grin.

Shawn stopped, getting nervous again. The others were curious what I was talking about, but didn't seem to protest.

“First, we have to prepare him, so he will look good for the photo shooting”, I explained, while going over to Kevin. I took off his pre-tied, bright red bow tie, and went over to Shawn. This might seem like a silly punishment, but Shawn hated ties in general, and would rather die than be caught wearing a bow tie.

But there was nothing he could do about it now. I delighted in closing the top button of his black shirt (fitting to the black suit) and attaching the bow tie to his collar. Shawn tried to struggle, but being completely tied up as he was, he had no way of defending himself.

“That's that. Now we need a gag”, I added, snickering. I thought about it for a second, before going to my room. When I came back, I had a fresh pair of sneaker socks with me.

Shawn clearly didn't like the idea of having socks stuffed inside his mouth. He threatened and thrashed around, which made Erics ropework seem pretty impressive. It was expertly done, and didn't budge at all, similar to the way the other two were tied up perfectly.

Finally, I held up one of the socks, with the biggest shit-eating grin I could muster. This was a once-in-a-liftime chance, and I wanted to enjoy every second of it. “Are you as excited as I am?”, I asked my poor friend.

Shawn wasn't known for his intelligence, which might explain why he tried to plea a last time. “Come ommmm!”, he said, before having the first sock stuffed inside his mouth. I worked hard on pushing the gross material inside with two fingers, partly into the cheek. My other hand was used to keep the mouth open.

Pushing the second sock completely inside was a bit of work, but mainly because Shawns mouth only was so-and-so big. Nonetheless, I finally managed to get both socks inside.

Eric was already beside me, duct tape in hand. He started wrapping it around Shawns head, while I got my fingers out of reach just in time. Shawn struggled, wiggled his head and tried to open his lips, but Eric and the tape were faster. Soon, Shawns face below the nose, as well as the chin, were covered in the silver material.

Shawn didn't give up, yet. He continued to work against the tape, and finally got the upper lip unstuck. But before he was able to spit out the sock, Eric added a few more rounds over the now free part of the face. This finally sealed the socks effectively inside Shawns mouth. No matter how much he opened it up, there was always a silver wall in front.

It was finally done. Satisfied, we looked down on our catch. I took the opportunity, to start with the photo session. Victor helped me, moving Shawn so that he was sitting on his lower legs. I and Eric positioned each other on his sides, and took a few pics.

Shawn got furious, as I showed them to him. He might not have minded being tied up so much, but I knew that he felt incredibly silly, wearing a bow tie. Which was unfortunate, I thought. With the black suit and shirt, the bright red of the tie was a nice effect. But he obviously disagreed, as he thrashed around in his bonds, for a last time. After that, the fight was finally out of him, and he just glared at us, while we took our pictures.

While the others were having fun, Eric approached me. “So, what now? You don't know, if it was him, right?”, he whispered.

I had already thought about that. There was a decision to be made, and soon too.

“I guess, I will just say it was him and hope for the best. Honestly, he is the most likely candidate, anyway. Don't you think?”

Eric nodded. We couldn't keep playing this game forever, and if it wasn't Shawn, the person might at least agree there.

We waited some more time, giving everyone the chance to get all the pictures they wanted. But before going out, we decided for a little measure of security. It was obvious, that neither Kevin, nor Peter or Shawn were able to free themselves. But they could work together. So we moved them around a bit.

Kevin was put on the bed, which was deemed as secure enough. Getting down in his state would hurt! Peter was put beside the bed, and attached to one of the legs with a piece of rope. The same was done with Shawn, only for him, the leg of the desk was used.

We looked over the room, satisfied. For a short time, I thought about continuing the game, until I had all seven of my friends tied and gagged. Or maybe I could get Hunter and Eric to help me tie up Victor, and then get both of them? Having all of them at my mercy seemed like fun.

But I shook my head. It had gone on for long enough already. We had fun, it was exciting, but I wanted it to end. And with that, I waited for the my still-free friends to leave to room, and close the door.

“Well? Was Shawn the killer?”, Neil asked. Everyone was curious, including Eric, though he probably waited for an answer to a different question.

I took a dramatic break, thinking my words through one last time. “Yes, you got it. Well done! I hope you enjoyed my little game.”

Eric nodded, agreeing with my lie. The others laughed and giggled.

“Shouldn't we free Peter and Kevin, then? It's over, now, after all”, Hunter asked. I tried to smile as deviously as possible, resulting in more laughs. I always looked just silly, when I tried it. “Let's give them another hour. They are losers, after all, a bit of punishment won't hurt them.”

Everyone seemed to enjoy this solution, except for Justin. Who had, without me noticing, taken the rope and tape with him. He looked at the material, deep in thought.

“What's up, Justin? Not satisfied?”, I asked. Did he know, that I was lying?

“Well”, he said, looking at me. I immediately got nervous, as it was his intense, piercing look. “You said at the start, that you could be the killer too. So, how are we supposed to trust you?”

I gulped. This wasn't good. And there was more to come. “Furthermore, because you know who the killer is, you can't actually participate in the game, right? The only thing we need from you, is the answer to who the killer is. But we can't actually trust your word.”

Neil nodded. “Right, you can't actually help us in any way, because you know the solution. But, if you are actually the killer, you will lie now, and soon another one of us will be tied up.” He shook his head in confusion. “Dude, your game is busted. You didn't think it through, did you?”

Before I could get a word in, Justin continued. “I can think of a solution. There are essentially two scenarios. If Alex isn't the killer, he would have no reason to lie to us, right? Because he probably doesn't want to get tied up, either. So, if the killer is, let's say, me, I would have another opportunity to get him. As Alex probably doesn't want this to happen, he would have said the truth. So, if Alex is not the killer, it has to be Shawn.

He cleared his throat. No way was this for anything, but dramatic effect.

“But”, he continued, “if Alex himself is actually the killer, he would lie to us. That way, we would get careless, and he would get someone else very easily. Or maybe even all of us. He could definitely continue on.”

“But that means, there is no way of knowing, right?”, Neil asked. “Because, as I said, the game doesn't really work.” He looked at me, an apologetic look already in his eyes. “It was still fun, don't get me wrong.”

“There might be a way”, Justin continued on. “It's rather simple. It's either Alex or Shawn, but we don't know who exactly. The only way for us to win for sure...”

And an evil smile appeared on Justins face. I would have never thought, that he was capable of looking so dangerous.

“...is to tie Alex up, as well.”

Thanks, I'm glad you liked what is there. :) Here is the next part:

Chapter 4: Tied up

I could feel my stomach getting heavier and heavier, while my face lost most of its color. This didn't sound good.

“Well, sounds legit, doesn't it?”, my neighbor said, putting his hand on my shoulder. I could feel the grip of his hand, intending to keep me in place. He sounded very amused. Obviously he enjoyed my little game. I wasn't so sure anymore if that was still true for me, though.

“Guys, this is not necessary, I tell you, Shawn is the killer. You won! Promise!”, I said, grinning nervously. Everyone looked at me in a funny way.

I probably didn't matter what I said. But I still had to try.

“Come on, don't do this. Eric, how can you even think of tying me up?”

My best friend couldn't help but laugh. Well, it seemed like he wouldn't be any help. I turned around, looking into the grinning face of Victor.

“You are supposed to take care of me, when Mum isn't here! Help me!”

He turned his look upwards, thinking about my words. I'm not sure how I could be so naive, but I actually thought that my words might have reached him. That he released my shoulder helped, though.

But my hope was crushed, as his arms were slung under my armpits, with his hands holding each other in front of my chest.

“Hey, stop it!”, I cried, getting more and more nervous. I tried to struggle, but Victor wasn't only taller than me, but also better trained. And my position didn't help, either. Considering that Victor didn't need to move much to adjust his position, no matter how hard I tried, I soon realized that it was hopeless.

I didn't stop fighting, but there was nothing to be done, as I was dragged into my room. Neither did I stop the bargaining, but my friends only kept grinning, laughing and making bad jokes. “Don't worry, we will take good care of you”, Neil assured me.

“Eric, I need some help. Take his left arm.” My best friend nodded eagerly. He and Victor forced my arms behind my back, while Justin used the duct tape to tie my hands together in a cross-shape.

While I knew that it was hopeless, I kept on fighting. The adrenaline gave me the pointless strength to keep going, as did the feeling of excitement. While I knew, that these were all my friends, I couldn't help, but imagine, that these guys were all actual agents who had captured me. The suits gave them an adult, professional look, and just made it easier to not recognize them as the lazily dressed teens that I hung out with all the time.

After my hands were tied up, I was forced to sit down on my chair. It was one of the kitchen chairs, a pretty stable piece, that I had borrowed over a year ago from downstairs, so that Eric had something to sit on while he was over.

Victor pressed me against the back of the chair, which was a single, cushioned piece and reached nearly up to my neck. Eric didn't lose time, and started wrapping rope around my body, pinning my against it. I had stopped begging to be let go, but still didn't stop to fight against the bonds.

In the meantime, Hunter and Justin had started working on tying my legs to the front legs of the chair. They used two pieces of rope, one for each of my feet, the second near to my knees.

It didn't take long for me to be completely immobilized. The sensation was irritating and fascinating at the same time. I could make slight movements with my body, as there was a bit of slack in the ropework that held my upper body. I was still nearly immobilized. No matter how I tried to move, the rope pulled me back to my former position.

But the fight still wasn't completely gone, and I continued to struggle against the rope, while demanding to be let go. “Calm down, buddy”, Neil said, patting me on the head. I glared at him, which just made him laugh.

“Well, there is still something missing”, Hunter said. “What do we use as a gag?”

I immediately stopped moving, feeling the blood go out of my face a second time. “Come on, guys, that's really not necessary”, I said, breathing harder.

It was scary, but it also felt exciting. There was a thrill of not wanting to be stopped from talking, but also a certain curiosity.

Still, I wouldn't give up the fight, as long as I possibly could.

With a determined look, I closed my mouth. They could try to gag me, but I would not make it easy for them.

Neil had grabbed a pair of socks from my drawer, but Justin shook his head. “I have a better idea”, he said, walking towards me.

When he had reached me, he grabbed my tie, starting to roll it up. I was confused, as he didn't take it off my neck, he just rolled up the part that hung down.

When he was done, he held the roll in front of my eyes. “Open up”, he said, grinning evilly. I shook my head. No way, I was not gonna let him gag me with my own tie!

But these guys just knew me too well. Victor, slowly and casually, walked over and sat down to my right side. I closed my eyes, knowing what was to come.

Shrill laughter came out of my mouth. It was a testament to the quality of the ropework, that it didn't budge at all, despite me thrashing around like crazy. Victor didn't even tickle me that much, but I was crazily ticklish under my armpits.

This made it very easy for Justin to stuff the rolled-up part of my tie into my mouth, holding it inside with two fingers. Victor immediately stopped. I was still a bit beside myself from the tickling, which made it easy for Neil to apply duct tape over my mouth. Like with the others, he made a few rounds around my head, plus a few that went under my chin.

“Well, I think we did a good job. Doesn't he look pretty, with his new accessories?”, Victor asked. Everyone grinned, getting out their phones.

I grunted helplessly into my gag, but without struggling. The fighting was exhausting, and I had lost. There was just nothing else to be done, but to accept that there would be pictures of me, helplessly tied up and gagged. I couldn't even be happy about being dressed nicely, as it probably looked rather silly, having a tie around my neck that was vanishing behind my gag.

The photo session happened the same way as before, except that Victor wasn't on any of them. He only took the pictures. I tried to look angry, but no one seemed to care. Not that I was surprised, we didn't care with the others either. And I had, at least, a more comfortable position.

As there were now only four free people who wanted pictures, it already took way less time, than it had with Peter, at the beginning. Eric ended the session, by standing by my side. “Smile, buddy”, he said, pointing the selfie camera of his phone at us.

I actually couldn't help, but smile. Seeing the two of us, dressed up, on the screen together looked really nice. Eric looked so adult, and just straight up good. And, even if the tie made me look somewhat silly, it was sort of nice to see myself in a suit.

I never had realized, how much I enjoyed being dressed up. In general, I only wore jeans and t-shirts. But I did like how others looked in nice clothes, and it made me really want to try dressing up, together with my friends. It made me realize that these clothes looked good on me too.

“Well, it's time for us to go. We'll see you in, what do you say guys, an hour?”, Hunter said, after Eric had shot the selfie.

I started to struggle and moan again. An hour? That seemed pretty long.

Only more laughter followed, with some “See you later”s. Eric was the last one to leave, but he stopped, shortly before going outside, and closed the door.

I was unsure what I was supposed to expect, but as soon as I saw his calm, soft look, I knew that he had no malicious intent. He walked back to my side, laying his arm on my shoulder.

“Hey, you ok?”, he said, smiling. I nodded, feeling silly. Of course I was ok. I would have never left the others tied up, or help tying up Shawn, if I wasn't ok with it when it happened to me.

Still, I appreciated Erics care. I closed my eyes and put my head on his chest, while he softly stroked my hair.

Eric probably stayed one or two minutes. It was a nice way to calm down, after all the excitement. But finally, my friend took away his hands and stood up.

“Just checking. Not that I expected there to be any problems”, he said, slightly more cocky than before. “You know, you do look pretty good in that suit. And that evening is a lot of fun. Maybe we should do it for real, at some point.”

He caught my half-hidden smile one last time, before leaving me alone.

I still felt the excitement rush through me. The whole thing felt pretty exhilarating – first the battle between Eric and Shawn, about me getting tied up or not. And then the twist, that, despite Eric winning, I would get tied up anyway. And there was nothing that I could have done about it.

For the first time, I really felt my bonds. I had felt from the start that the rope was pretty strict, but only now did it really sink in, how low the number of movement options were.

The tie probably wasn't the worst gag. It was a broad one, so it did fill out the mouth quite well, but it wasn't such a rough texture like a sock would have been. I might have been able to open my mouth, but there was nothing to gain from that. The only people in the house who could free me, were the ones that had me tied up in the first place. No help would be coming from them, at least not for now.

It also didn't take too long, to realize that my clothes weren't ideal for being tied up. The shirt and the jacket fit quite well, so when my hands were drawn behind my back, they were drawn back too, and I could feel the buttons stretching a bit. Especially the collar with the tie pressed a slightly stronger than before, which made the whole situation somewhat uncomfortable. Not unbearably so, but it was a good thing that I would only be tied up for an hour.

At least, I guessed it wouldn't be that big of a deal. The only other time I was tied up that long, was when I was tricked by Kevins awful friends. While the torture was obnoxious, everything was over surprisingly fast.

Slowly, with tugging at the rope again and again, the realization came, that I was stuck for good. Excitement welled up inside me. I couldn't get out. I was truly stuck, and had no choice, but to wait for my friends to let me go. The grin came automatically, and I started struggling harder again, to get more of the feeling of being restricted.

As the only clock in the room was behind me, I had no idea how much time had passed. But at some point, I heard noise coming from the other room. The door was opened, there were footsteps, multiple grunts (I couldn't tell, if they were angry or scared) and what sounded like the door of a closet.

What had just happened? Maybe someone else had been tied up? But I couldn't hear any laughter, and the whole thing had died down surprisingly fast. Did one of the three prisoners get free on their own?

I wanted to know, what had happened. I wanted to get into the other room, but there was just no way for me to do that. Not that I didn't try to get free, again, but it was clear from the start how pointless it was. I had to wait. And there was no way of saying, how much of the hour was still left.

I had the feeling it wouldn't be that simple to find out who was behind this. Loves this part! Specially the tie gag! Probably the best part!

Keeping the culprit hidden a little while longer. Building the anticipation a little longer....

Love the tie gag, very inventive and great touch. Also liked the reflection of the how the ropes felt as well as the pleading to not be tied or gagged

Sorry for not responding, and thanks so much for your post. Makes me really happy, that you guys enjoy my story.

Chapter 5: Lock and Key

It felt like forever, since I finally gave up struggling and moaning for good, awaiting someone to come back. I needed to know what had happened in the other room, but trying to move was exhausting. All I could do was grunt my frustration into my gag, and opening and closing my hands. It was pretty annoying that this was the only way of releasing my restlessness.

I was glad when I finally heard someone come up the stairs. I immediately resumed screaming into my gag. And soon enough, a grinning Eric opened the door. “Having fun in there, buddy?”, he asked. But it didn't take long for him to realize, that there was a bit more behind my struggles than just playing along with the game.

“Wait a second, let me just undo the gag”, he said, taking a pair of scissors from my desk. He carefully cut through the tape, than tried not to hurt me too much, by pressing strands of hair down, while ripping the stuff from my back. It was still painful, and a bit of hair was probably lost, but it was obvious that he tried hard not to make me suffer too much. Finally, he ripped off the part in front, taking care again when freeing the part of the tie, that was stuck behind the tape.

“Wait a second”, he said, before grabbing some tissue from my desk, and letting me spit the rolled-up tie out. He immediately held up a glass of water, that I hadn't even noticed until now, due to me being too focused on trying to get free. I nodded, opening my mouth again. It was somewhat gross, but the tie was made out of smooth fabric, so my mouth didn't feel too bad. It was pretty dry, though, and the water felt very good, at least after the first sip.

“Thanks”, I said, while Eric worked on undoing my tie. I was glad that he was aware that I didn't want to wear something that was soaked in saliva.

“Say, were any of you in the other room? Someone was in there. No idea what happened, except that I heard some noise. Did you torture them, or what?”

Eric had just put the tie on my desk, with the tissue below the wet part. He looked confused. “No, not possible. We were all in the kitchen and continued to play poker.”

That was weird. What the hell was going on?

“Wait, why are you alone? You know that you shouldn't split up. Where are the others?”

My friend had already started to untie me, but I could feel that he was a bit uneasy.

“We waited half an hour, and nothing happened. Honestly, I assumed that the game was actually over, like you did. That's why I'm here to let you go, I just wanted to free you first. The others are still downstairs.”

It felt good, being able to move my legs again. I stretched and moved them around, while waiting for my upper body and hands to be freed, too.

“Come on, don't worry. Maybe someone got free on their own?”, Eric suggested, before finally undoing the tape that kept my hands behind my back.

Before doing anything else, I had to move my body a bit. Being stuck in one position for half an hour was a pretty intense experience, being able to move again felt so good! I stretched all my body parts, just so I could the experience of being able to move again.

“You ok?”, he asked, smirking a bit. I grinned back. “Sure. You just did a really good job. It's...really weird, being stuck like that. Movement feels so good, afterwards.”

“Well then”, Eric said, drinking the rest of the water, “let's see what happened in the other room.”

I nodded. But before I could move, my look fell on the tie. I didn't want to wear it again, of course, but I also had an urge to put something on my collar.

“Wait a second”, I said, opening a drawer. There was no time to tie another tie, but I also had a pre-tied black bow-tie with the red paisley-pattern. It took only a few seconds to put on.

Eric shook his head. “Seriously, dude? You can't wait to get out, but still find time for this?” I shot him an Evil Look. My slightly-redder-than-before face probably betrayed me, which would why the only reaction was some laughter.

When we finally got to the other room, we found a surprise. It was empty.

“What the hell? Where is everybody?!”, I shouted. My heart started to go stronger, louder. This wasn't good!

“Calm down. Listen, the closet”, my friend said. I did so, and indeed, there came grunting from inside. I let out a breath. Weird, but at least they hadn't vanished.

But the next shock came, when I tried to slide open the door. It didn't move!

I could see my shocked face in the mirror of the closet door. Frantically, I looked up and down, trying to remember where the lock was. I finally found it, at the bottom of the door. But finding it wouldn't help, as the key was missing.

There was no need to tell Eric, he already had realized that the door would remain closed. “Hey, guys, calm down! Someone has locked you in there, and the key seems to be missing. We will let you out, as soon as possible, promise!”, he said, loud enough for our imprisoned friends to hear.

There was an immediate increase of grunts, both in volume as in intensity, but it soon died down. They were safe, after all, and whoever had moved them inside didn't seem to have hurt them. It was still only a game, even if I didn't know the rules, or who was behind it.

“Guys, we will now go down and tell the others. Stay calm, the closet isn't airtight. You are save.” An evil smile crept onto my face. Why not have a bit more fun with our victims? “Can only take a few hours, finding out who the killer actually is. A shame that you can't just tell us, isn't it?”

The moaning spiked once more, before dying down. I think I could actually feel the frustration on the other side. I would have to pay for this. But not today.

Eric threw me a disappointed look, before grinning. As if I would have believed him, he probably found this funny, too.

When we finally made our way down, we didn't say much. This whole thing was weird, and it kept getting weirder. If every free person had been downstairs, who had moved my friends? “You are sure, that you were together for the whole time?”, I asked. Eric nodded. “Absolutely. It was just thirty minutes of playing. I was the first to go away, so I could free you”

Hunter, Victor and Neil were sitting around the table, and greeted me with smiles. “Nice bow tie”, Victor said, before realizing that we didn't bring the other three. There smiles dropped, as we told them about what we just found out.

“This sounds strange. What would be the point of putting them into the closet? I really don't get what is happening here”, Hunter said, scratching his head. Neil shook his head, before looking at me. “So, how about telling us what is actually going on. I think this game went on long enough.”

I looked nervously at Eric, who just shook his shoulders and nodded. It was probably about time. “There never was a game, guys. I mean, someone seems to play one, but that someone isn't me. When we found Peter tied up, I found it fun and thought it would be a cool idea to pretend that I was in on it.” I felt slightly ashamed by this. Maybe I should have taken everything more serious from the start? “But honestly, I have no idea what is going on.”

The others were clearly irritated by this news. Especially Neil had a distressed look on his face, seemingly lost in thought.

“So, you are saying there is someone in this house who tied you up, one after the other?”, Victor asked, looking somewhat serious. This obviously didn't seem too much like fun to him, anymore.

But I shook my head. “I'm still sure, that it's just one of us who is playing a prank on the rest. I mean, if these were robbers, they would act very weird, right? They would just take us out, all at once.”

Eric put his hand on my shoulder, making me feel immediately better. I was so glad, that he was still here, and free at that. “I would guess, it's just not one person, but two. So, one of us could have worked with one of the guys who is tied up? It's still a game, don't worry too much.”

Suddenly, Neil got up. “Justin has taken a long time in the bathroom, don't you think? I'll check on him.” He was gone surprisingly fast. I was still a little baffled, as Hunter mentioned: “You know, he is right. Justin has been gone for some time now.” We decided to follow Neil.

It probably shouldn't have surprised us, but it did anyway. When we reached the bathroom, Neil worked on a pair of handcuffs, that chained his boyfriend to the metallic drain of the sink. “Get off! Damnit!”, he spit out, visibly angry.

Justin was sitting on the floor, his hands stuck in the air. He didn't even try to answer, as his whole face below the eyes, including the nose, was covered in a mask, made out of black, leathery material. Two little holes made it possible for him to breath. It still seemed not very easy to do so, as Justins mouth was obviously completely stuffed. He tried to say something, but it was, despite being easy enough to hear, impossible to decipher.

Eric immediately tried to undo the gag, but soon realized that it was futile. A lock at the back made it impossible to undo the gag without a key. He let out a frustrated sound, similar to Neil.

“Calm down, Neil. Whoever did this, the rest of the weekend will be way less fun for him. But nothing bad will happen, it's just one of your friends having fun”, Victor said, trying to give us some reassurance. He was right. Someone might have taken a prank a bit too far. But it was even somewhat impressive, that he was able to continue without being caught. Or, maybe more realistically, they.

Neil actually listened, and took a deep breath. His eyes started to look tired, as he softly stroked Justins head. “You ok?”, he asked carefully. Justin answered his look, with more confidence than one would expect. He did seem to take the whole thing easier than the former victims. Probably because it was clear to him that he wasn't in any danger, and that there was just no way of getting out of this cuffs without the key.

“Ok, ok, sorry guys. Nothing bad will happen to anyone, I know. But still...”

Neil got up, and looked into at us, his eyes full of fire. “Whoever is responsible, will pay. I will think deep and hard, about how I will have fun with that person.”

If I hadn't known him, Neil would have scared me. But I was also glad that I wasn't responsible. Neil didn't play pranks on his own, but he always payed back. With interest. It was always fun to watch, but no one wanted to be on the receiving end.

He sighed one last time, before suggesting to go back to the kitchen, planning “Don't worry, we will get you free”, he promised his boyfriend, who answered with something that looked like a smile.

Neil did wait for Hunter and Victor to go first, though. Than he approached me and Eric. “Alex, can you distract Victor? Just long enough, so we can surprise him. I think he is responsible for starting the whole thing. But we really need to surprise him.”

I looked at Neil in surprise. The suggestion seemed rather out there, and I wasn't too keen on trying to tie up my neighbor. Even aside from my crush on him, he was taller than the rest of us, and well trained too.

But, while being a very nice person, Victor had played a few pranks on us too, over the years. All in good spirit, but we never got our chance to strike back, due to him being a few years older. This was a chance that I didn't want to let go.

No idea, how Neil came up with the idea that Victor was the prankster here. But I didn't want to let this chance go. We could always untie him afterwards, if Neils reasoning was flawed.

“Sure, leave it to me.”

I have to agree with cj2125.
Just caught up on chapter 4, and that tie-gag was super inventive and original.

Well done FelixSH.
