Change my name?

Hey, everyone!

I already sent a message to the main peeps who run the show but got no response. Does anyone know if one change his username on here? I think mine is scaring people off from my stories. I swear my stories aren't about poop! I thought I was just gonna lurk so figured my name didn't matter.

Go to User Control Panel -> Profile -> Edit Account and there is a field for your user name.

That line just tells you what your username is. It does not let you change it if you wanted to. It is however fairly easy to create another username, and if needed to create another email is very simple as well. That’s the only knowledge I have on the subject.

You couldn't have tried too hard to contact the 'main peeps'; I'm an admin and this is the first I have heard about it.
Anyway, what chadmc90 says is correct. I just changed my username (temporarily at least) from Jason Toddman to Magnaman to prove it. Assuming it did not work simply because i'm an admin anyway, it should work for you as well.
One important step Chad left out however was that you have to confirm your site password at the same time before any changes will 'take'.

Try it now. I went in and changed user permissions to allow normal users to change their username.

It seems like it should work now, but I don’t want to change my username so I will not 100% know for sure. But it does show up similar to if you wanted to change your password or email.
