Sharing something I learned from a friend: color code your locks and keys! Use duct tape, medical tape, spray paint, etc.
This is helpful whether you’re locking up others or yourself:
1. Quickly unlock in case of emergencies.
2. Plan escapes more clearly.
3. Play games like earning certain keys for escape.
4. Easily identify if any locks are missing keys.
Have fun, and play safe!

On the other hand, having to try several keys before finding the right one (if NOT an emergency) can be fun too.

I do that! I have eight small padlocks: four sets of two. The bottoms of each pair are painted red, green, blue or yellow. The matching keys are kept on red, green, blue and yellow ribbons. Easy-peasy.
