Re: Jay Spreads the Light (MF/Ff)

Thirty minutes later, May and Violet looked over to the door as Marjorie, Agatha and Soo walked in. All three had their wrists secured behind their backs, and white tape over their mouths. “Hrruhghrrlsllrht,” Agatha said as she looked at them. They both nodded as the older women sat down in chairs, ...

Re: Movies and Shows

Any of the Lew Grade/ITC series, from The Saint to The Persuaders, Man in a Suitcase to Danger Man, have fine examples of damsels in cute distress. You might also like to check out a Brian Clemens series from the 70s called Thriller. This is one of the best - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSnq56F8...

Re: After School Tales (MF/mfMF)

1977 It was about a week before school started again, when the men came to our house. As well as Mummy and Daddy, there was me – I was eleven at the time – and my nine year old brother and sister. Joey and Jenny were twins, and I remember the day this happened Joey was wearing a blue polo shirt and...

Re: Mother And Daughter Moments (MF/Ffm)

Sometimes, it is the simplest ideas that mean the greatest fun. It’s not often I play the games in the inner city, but Steve had told me of the family of a high end jewellery designer, and asked if I fancied seeing what I could find… Which is why I was walking past the terraced houses in Kensington,...

Marjorie looked at the masked woman, suddenly feeling very calm as she said “we had just got back from a holiday, and a car had been booked to pick us up. Brian – Brian was pushing the trolley and the girls walked with me. They each had their teddy bears under their arms.” “Yer teddies,” Mrs McPhee ...

“Right – I have those vegetables you asked for Soo,” Agatha said as she came into the kitchen, putting the carrots and turnip down on the table, and then taking a moment to look round the room. Eventually, she said quietly “I see we have visitors – unexpected ones.” “Good morning Lady Middlewich,” o...

“Thank you,” Casey said as Mrs McPhee put the glass down, wiped her lips, and then put the sponge into her mouth before she wrapped the white tape tightly round her head, keeping her quiet as Robert and Casey looked on, their eyes blinking as they started to fall asleep. “You first I think, young ma...

Re: Tips For Beginners: Storywriting

Well, here's my tuppence of advice, for what it's worth. For me, it depends on what I'm writing, and where the inspiration is from. For thee stories I post here, they tend ot be based on a photo or photos I find - I'll select them, and ask myself "if the Games Player, or Jay Edwards, met these ...

“Well, it is good to see you over again,” Yvonne Williamson said as she set the tray down on the coffee table, her husband Mark sitting opposite her as they looked at their guests, “staying for long?” “A month,” Sarah Holderness-Carter said as she picked up a mug. She was dressed in a grey top and p...

Like Janna, I also had a recent visit where I had to deal with a son as well – although mine was slightly different… I had been researching the Watson family for some time. So, this was one of those times when it wasn’t a daughter that I had to make sure played along, but the son of the family – and the family in this case were the Arbuthnots of Windsor. 1972 Mummy was a television hostess – she did some of the game shows with the likes of Hughie Green and Michael Miles, and she was more than just the dumb blonde that Anne Aston used to play. 1978 The newspaper at the time called it the Sunday Social Raid – I just remember it as one of the most terrifying days of my life… I had just started high school, along with three of my friends from our church. Yeah, I know – I’m not a girl, and reading the stories here I’m surprised more boys have not told of when one of the Games Players have visited them. I mean, there have to have been a few – but maybe they’re embarrassed to admit what happened. I’m not… My name is Steve, and I’m nine. I live in a pla...
